Overview
Amritsar – Dalhousie – Mcleodganj
This package lets you explore the best of Himachal Pradesh with the combination of Punjab.
Since we have explored this itinerary ourselves, we would love to take you through it virtually.
Mcleodganj is populary known as “Little Lhasa” or “Dhasa” because of its large Tibetan population.
So, we were fascinated by the name “Mcleodganj” and to our surprise we were overwhelmed with what Mcleodganj had to offer us. It’s the most beautiful suburb of Dharamshala in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Tibetan Monasteries, the market, the cafes and the beautiful views along with people who stay here, Mcleodganj is a refreshing surprise waiting for you to explore it.
Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of Himalayas, this beautiful city is the home to the Dalai Lama. Dharamshala while being high on spirituality also has one of the highest cricket stadiums. The entire city is surrounded by the magnificent Himalayas along with the many learning centres, Monasteries, War Memorials.
And now who is not fascinated by the dreamy towns!! Dalhousie is one such and its home to Colonial era buildings, churches which date back to the rule of British Raj. Relax, rejuvenate and take those lazy stroll through the woods. The open grassland with beautiful wildflowers is a popular picnic spot also known as Mini Switzerland of India. You gotta see it to believe it.
Amritsar – The Golden City, the history and a emotion.
We are constantly running behind things, while this city will bring you peace when you visit “Golden Temple” it will also give you the adrenaline rush when you visit Wagah Border. This must surely be on your bucket list, the beating retreat parade, the glorious history and so many sacrifices to keep our borders safe are surely to give you goosebumps.
We have curated this package from our experiences but we are happy and open for your suggestions. Do let us know if you want us to make any changes to the itinerary.
