GUWAHATI, SHILLONG & KAZIRANGA TOUR!!

Shillong capital of Meghalaya is the favourte holiday destination.The scenic Khasi Hills resembles the Scottish Highlands amidst smoky blue hills thick with pine and orchids, singing brooks and crashing waterfalls. The Shillong Peak (1965mtrs) offers breathtaking views of the city spread out against its glorious hill slopes. Amongst the popular waterfalls, close to the town is the Elephant Falls.

Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not just because it is a “significant natural habitat for conservation of biological diversity”, but also because it’s home to “threatened species of outstanding universal value”. From migratory birds to the largest snakes in the world, you come across an amazing variety of wildlife amidst its equally amazing vegetation, which is characterized by grasslands, thick evergreen forests and trees of various kinds.

Day 1 :

ARRIVAL IN GUWAHATI (ASSAM)

Your amazing Guwahati Shillong Kaziranga trip will start with your arrival at Guwahati Airport/Station. Check in the hotel, After getting freshened up, you will be taken on a Guwahati sightseeing tour where along with that natural beauty you will also visit some top pilgrimage sites of the city - Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple and Balaji Temple.Overnight stay at the hotel in Guwahati.

Day 2 :

GUWAHATI TO SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA) VIA UMIAM LAKE

In the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast.Followed by this, be ready to begin a 99 km road drive to Shillong. It would take around 3-4 hours to complete the drive.En route, explore the surreal beauty of Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani Lake. It is the largest artificial lake in Meghalaya and is known for its exquisite surrounding which includes Sylvan Hills.On arrival in Shillong, you will be accommodated in a pre-booked hotel.Rest of the day will be free for your leisure time. You can either choose to explore the nearby region or can just stay inside your hotel room and relax.

Day 3 :

SHILLONG TO CHERRAPUNJI

You will begin a drive to your next stopover which is Cherrapunji - the second wettest place on earth. This will be a 53 km drive which would take around 2-3 hours to complete.In Cherrapunji, relish the beauty of Seven Sister Falls and along with a visit to Mawsmai Cave and the Thangkharang Park.In the evening, proceed back to Shillong.En route, visit the spectacular Elephant Falls and the Shillong Peak. From Shillong Peak, you can savour the sweeping views of the region which is quite astounding.Upon arrival in Shillong, you will be taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

SHILLONG TO MAWLYNNONG TO DAWKY TO SHILLONG

Today you will be taken to Asia’s cleanest village - Mawlynnong through a 78 km road drive. The pristine natural beauty of this eco-tourism destination in Meghalaya is something which cannot be missed out.After Mawlynnong, the next stopover on the day 4 sightseeing tour is Dawki. In Jaintia Hills, this small town is another nature’s paradise in Meghalaya which is known for its clear and pristine Umngot River.In the evening, you will be taken back to Shillong. En route, visit the famous Root Bridge.Upon arrival in Shillong, you will be accommodated in your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 :

SHILLONG TO KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

After having a scrumptious breakfast, you will be taken to Kaziranga National Park through a road drive.From Shillong, Kaziranga is located at a distance of around 252 km, and hence, a road drive would take around 4-5 hours to complete.Upon arrival, check-in to a pre-booked hotel.Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the hotel.

Day 6 :

KAZIRANGA WILDLIFE SAFARI & DEPARTURE

In the morning, after having breakfast, enjoy a wildlife safari in Kaziranga National Park where you will get to see various wild species.Thereafter, you will be transferred to your onward destination (airport/railway station) to sum up this tour.Upon arrival at the airport/station, proceed to board your flight back home.This entire voyage will give you some indelible memories to cherish for a lifetime.
